this game is great, the fans of dynasty warriors and samurai warriors will enjoy it imensly. the levels are long and beutiful and chocked full of guys, as long as you want to you can wade through enemy troops being able to now choose three officers instead of one, you switch between them during battle using the triggers meaning you can zip around the map with faster characters then switch to the powerhouses when in battle, you can also switch during combos making it harder to be stopped. goemon ishkawa and kunoichi are back but katsuie shibata and koji sasaki are left out. still, one of the best warriors games so far, if it had a character creation system it'd be perfect but alas there is none. with 4 storylines to choose from it's fun for hours of rampaging slaughter.

This is worth every penny to any Dynasty/Samurai Warriors die hard fan!

First off the graphics are the same. Frame f=rate may be a little smoother but overall the game is worth the price when you compare it to the rest of the Dynasty Warriors franchise. Someone mentioned that it's too easy to unlock the characters....ok dude it's over 70 playable fighters how hard does it have to be for you to feel like you got your money worth? Play it on the hardest mode then say that. Who has that much free time? Not everyone, that's for sure. I think the game is excellent how it is. I like how they made the upgrade system and the 3 tag team is a plus. Until they step up with a next generation game with todays expectations, Warriors Orochi is the BEST of the series next to the Dynasty Warriors GUNDAM for any GUNDAM fans. The price for Warriors Orochi is fair to what the game offers and I can bet you in a year this will be a very hard to find game on certain systems. I've played most of the Dynasty Warriors series since it started off as a one on one sword fighting game like SoulCaliber for PS one. This is a must have to any D.W. fan! No other Dynasty or Samurai Warriors game has this many playable characters available on the same game. Some games are ment to trade in and some are ment to keep. My opinion, this is a sleeper hit for the series and a keeper. There is really no need to buy a Dynasty or Samurai Warriors game if you get this one.

For those who don't enjoy hours upon hours of repetitive game-play, then this game is not for you. For those who've enjoyed the offerings of the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors series, then this game is right up your alley.

The game contains over 80 playable characters, and, if I had to make any criticism, it would be that these characters are too easy (phenomenally easy) to unlock.

I've been a fan of Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors and Koei games in general for quite some time now. And there are certain groups of people for which Koei games are a favorite. If you read many of the gamer magazines you'll find that most Koei games automatically receive low ratings. I think that there is a bias against Koei games but I really don't care what other people think about the franchise, I'll continue to buy Koei games because I like them. Warriors Orochi brings together the warriors from both DW and SW with an interesting storyline. I would've like more cinematics. This game feels slightly rushed but still a great bet for geniune fans.

It was an idea that should have been test marketed a little more because if most of the players who play Dynasty Warriors 5, 6, 7. or 8 are playing for one major reason.... slash and kill as many of the enemy as possible. Pretty straight forward. In Orochi, they threw in some weird changes that do not enhance this pleasure. If you like being able to change characters with the push of a button and keep track of their health and other things, you might like this. I myself will stick with the basic slash and kill approach.
