If you spend more than 10 minutes with this game, it's very hard to turn off. Stadiums, fields, players model all look good, but the animation is really nice. The crowds really get into the action with all the chants, it is absolutely awesome. The controls have a bit of a steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, the game feels very natural to control. For those that complain about licensing, please remember that updated Option Files will take care of that! This is the only game that has UEFA & Copa Libertadores. I really hope more people play online this year, the community needs to grow!

The AI of FIFA 12 was so horrendous that this year I decided to make the switch and go with PES. Keep in mind I've never played PES before, other than trying out the demo beforehand.
I've only played 1 full game and most of the training (which has HIGH standards) and tried the league play for a few minutes. Thus far I am very pleased with the flexibility and detail of PES. Fifa does have better presentation and leagues (because EA is using it financial superiority to monopolizing league endorsement!!)
If you havent experienced the superior AI and detail to gameplay that PES offers you're depriving yourself out of a genuinely great soccer experience. I'm wont be going back to FIFA any time soon!! :)

I played the demo and loved it but I was still wary that the final product may not be the same as the demo (demos of 11 and 12 were completely different from the actual game).
Game modes are pretty much the same as last year with the exception of Club Boss which is now gone.
New for this game is the addition of the Brazilian league (fully licensed) and the addition of 3 brazilian stadiums and all 20 La Liga (spanish league) stadiums. There are 50 stadiums in the game but you can create many more with the Create A Stadium option.
The biggest improvement is the thing that matters the most which is the gameplay. Manual passing and shooting are great in this game. Use manual settings for a more realistic experience.
The defending system has also changed a bit. You really have perfectly time your tackles or else the opponent will just skip past you. Also gone is the speed merchant attribute. No more playing against a team full of speed merchants in MLO.
One flaw this game is the through balls. The CPU abuses the through ball and it's how you concede most of the goals against it.
Very annoying until you learn how to defend them.
Still the gameplay is great and very addicting. I can't stop playing it. You learn something new in every game you play.
Anyone who wants a realistic soccer experience should get the new PES.
Honest reviews on Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 - Xbox 360
Ok, so the rivalry between this and FIFA is huge, but I will tell you one thing. The gameplay in this game is way more realistic than FIFA, The one thing that FIFA has on PES, is Licensing, Online Game modes, and probably graphics and animations. But in PES, the Be a Legend mode puts Career mode to shame on FIFA. The gameplay is much more realistic in PES also, while it might sometimes not look as realistic it certainly feels more realistic. The AI was very well made in this game, they aren't superhuman like they are in FIFA. I can play this game and win 4-0. Then lose 0-2. It's quite unpredictable. The Game Plan before you play is awesome also, you have so much freedom to play around with your tactics. And, there are plenty of international teams to play in PES. Oh, and another thing, this game won't make you nearly as mad as FIFA. Because this game makes sense. This game is very precise, and involves a lot of skill (To play it to its full potential). It takes timing and thought and is not justthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballthroughballYou get my point. The keepers aren't amazingly overpowered, but that doesn't mean scoring is easy. The defense is much smarter, and shots and breakaways are worth much more. And as a side note, I'm not totally into the soundtrack, but that shouldn't stop anyone from purchasing it.

As the title says, if you are a person who cares a lot about how a game looks or how beautiful the menus are, this game is probably not for you. Yes, PES 2013 doesn't have all the license nor does it look as beautiful as FIFA but the most important thing in any game, i.e. game-play (at least for me) is simply amazing! I own FIFA 12 and don't get me wrong, I loved playing it (until I got PES 2013) but once I started finding the problems with it, it started getting less and less fun. After a while every game felt the same (Offline mode). If you know a trick on how to fool the A.I, it will work every time (at least most of the times). This is not the case with PES 2013, here, in one game, you might beat the A.I. 3-0 and the very next game you might lose by 1-2. This is what makes PES 2013 amazing (the uncertainty factor). In PES 2013, if something goes wrong in the game, it is most probably your mistake. Passes are more accurate, A.I. is smarter and the game is general feels more realistic. I also played FIFA 13 (demo) and the game just feels too fast for me and there is no time to think. Here, in PES 2013, you can have a strategy and work on it. By the way, commentary in PES 2013 is BAD (or I should say, not as good as FIFA) but as I said before, the most important thing I care about in a game is game-play. Hopefully, this review helps people.
