Let me start by saying I absolutely love Battlefield games. This was actually the only game I ordered with the Xbox Day One console, that's how excited I was. Unfortunately this game was released well before it should of ever been. Not only has my campaign saved game been deleted twice, i've lost all my multiplayer levels and upgrades as well, which translates into hours of time wasted with nothing to show for it. The multiplayer crashes come out of nowhere and send you back to the home screen. Amazon actually refunded me $11 today, i'm not sure why but it probably has to do with how poor the quality of this game is. On top of that they have the audacity to ask another $49.99 for Battlefield Premium to get all the DLC. That's $110 for a game that *BARELY* works. I have no doubt that the game will be absolutely amazing *IF* they can fix all the bugs, but it has been out on the other consoles for almost a month and they are still plagued with issues. DICE and EA really screwed up big time with a HUGE franchise, and it will undoubtedly come back to haunt them. Save your money for now and pick up Dead Rising 3 or Call of Duty. This one probably won't be working until after Christmas.

The Battlefield series continues to mature and this version is bar far the best. Lots of variety which has always been the attraction for me. The vehicle variety is outstanding!

There have been some minor announces with the new platform and new game, but this is growing pains that any next gen is going to experience. Some minor graphics "tearing" that happens in the game, and the game has kicked me out a few times to the start screen. I suspect this should all be alleviated soon with an update.

With regards to the game play/action I find this game far superior to the COD franchise and recommend this game 110%. If you like variety, this is the game for you. If you are a fan of just "team kill", then COD may be a better choice.

Best Deals for Battlefield 4 - Xbox One

When I got my Xbox One yesterday, I was giddy with excitement to pop this game in (it's the only game I was really wanting to play at launch).

Initially, I was blown away the graphics are amazing, the sounds are crisp, and the controls are mostly fluid. But then...I kept playing.

The problem I've always had with this series is that there seems to be some sort of "penalty" for being a newcomer to the game. The starting guns suck and they have limited attachments. My first game (unranked) I was dumped into a game of level 60-70 somethings. You know what, I'm not going to knock a star off for that though it's how the series is albeit not the best system in my opinion.

The reason this game loses stars is because is when you do get a game going you'll have "stutter" lag. Meaning, at the time you most need your connection, you lag. Enemy in front of you? Lag. Shooting an unsuspecting enemy? Lag. It's the kind of lag that freezes the screen in place for a second not the "why isn't that guy dying?!" lag. And let's not forget my most recent experience, and why I have time to write this review...

The game chokes without any warning and takes you back to the Xbox home screen. This has just happened to me four times in a row. The servers are crashing and this game is riddled with other odd bugs. I gave it an extra star because of the first points I mentioned but that's being a bit generous. (I should probably add that the menus are so clunky especially when you are modifying equipment and changing loadouts.)

Battlefield 4 is like that girl you meet out at a bar who looks hot because you may have had too many and the lights are low. But time reveals all things and in the morning this game doesn't look too good without makeup, you've got a headache, and you're wondering...why did I spend so much money last night?

Honest reviews on Battlefield 4 - Xbox One

I don't usually post reviews but I felt it was necessary in this case. I received Battlefield 4 as a gift for Xbox One. I requested BF4 because I was tired of the same repackaged Call of Duty game year after year. Call of Duty was a game most of my friends with consoles had and we enjoyed playing together. However after a few years of incremental updates with ongoing issues in each new version (Quick Scoping, Host disconnections, Weapon balances) I thought it would be better to get friends to try out BF4. However, there are so many issues that lead me to the conclusion that the game wasn't ready for release even after knowing they had a semi-open beta where you would assume they worked out many of the issues. The friends that bought the game with me have already gone and purchased CoD because they weren't happy with the problems and wanted something to play on their new console.

The biggest problems I've experienced are:

Lost my progress in the campaign at least twice (Now I won't even play because I have to start over every time I turn the console off)

Multiplayer quick match puts you into the wrong game type

Game crashes randomly during MP

One-shot kill bug in MP (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vDOC1V6GM8)

I wish you could return games like any physical product, maybe then EA/Dice wouldn't release a game before it was ready instead of relying on patches as you go. While I expected a few issues since related to the lack of large scale Xbox One/PS4 testing, some of these issues are just plain ridiculous.

Edit #1:

I forgot another bug that I have seen in MP. Sometime the screen will look like the old blue/red 3D when you move your character. I believe people are calling this the "Blur bug"

DO NOT BUY ON XBOX 1. This game worked for about 5 hours of gameplay before crashing to my xbox one home screen every time I attempted to PLAY the game. I select the game, it displays the start screen for about 5 seconds, and then just quits back to the xbox one home screen without explanation. I deleted the entire game, hard restarted the xbox, and reinstalled the game with no luck. I contacted EA customer service and they had zero solutions for me, and ended my chat session abruptly; HORRIBLE costumer service. I paid nearly $60 for a drink coaster at this point. Incredibly disappointing; I will no longer be supporting EA.
