If you love Saints Row this is more to love.

Superb writing and story telling had me laughing repeatedly. Superior to Saints 3, yet familiar and entertaining. 35 hours and I only have 91% complete. Soooooo many things that would be spoilers, so I will avoid that....but I miss Zimos.

If you liked Saint's Row the Third, this game is perfect for you. It has a very similar look and feel and they turned the ridiculous level up to potato. It is hours of pure fun just running through the city causing havoc. I would highly recommend this game. The Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition comes with a replica Dubstep Gun, a big red button, and a Johnny Gat memorial statue. The extras are fun and almost as ridiculous as the game itself. That being said, this game feels almost exactly like an extension of Saint's Row the Third. For me that is not a negative, but it could be for some. The addition of super powers makes driving and customizing cars irrelevant. That is something that has been fun in all of the Saint's Row games, and it is still available, but if you can sprint through the city faster than the cars, why would you drive?

I love the game and would recommend it to any fans of the series, but if you didn't like Saint's Row the Third, this is not the game for you.

Ever since Saints Row was released back in the early days of the Xbox 360, the Grand Theft Auto franchise has felt redundant. Now that we've arrived at Saints Row IV, it truly feels like there's no need for GTA.

Steelport is a great setting for an alien invasion fended off by superpowered gangsters.

I have enjoyed each game and they have progressed very nicely. This one doesn't really feel much of an evolution like the others. It's a really good game. Had the first 3 not been so progressive it would get a 5. The super hero part is cool. There are as always hilarious moments throughout and tons of easter egg and references everywhere. All in all it is a good game. If you are new to the series I'm sure you would give this a 5, and rightfully so, but if you've grown with the saints this feels like Saints 3.5. It's worth a buy especially if you like GTA but more over the top and much more humor. The saints have always made a funny but super fun GTA style game. But other than the basic gameplay this is no GTA rip or spin off. And the M rating is very appropriate so parents be for warn. It is not at all intended for a younger audience. GTA would be a safer bet, and that's saying something.

Let me start with this, this game is not, nor is it intended to now or ever, to be compared with GTAV. This game stands on it's own as a series and franchise. And here is what this game is, in my opinion. Stress Relief in an interactive form mixed with situations so over the top you will think you are living in an Internet Meme. It makes fun of everything from politics to itself as a creation. It mixes cliche moments with moments of greatness. It is a walking fart joke and youtube prank video. It is mature immaturity wrapped in a bacon deluxe carnage bun with a side of thick cut explosions, all washed down with cold refreshing middle finger to everybody. All of this, while still making the characters memorable, loveable, and laughable to each individual. Everything is over the top, but done in a way that channels the insanity into expectation, making it something that just "works." in this series. From designing your own characters genitalia, to seeing Genki show up at random and launch people from a cannon, to being attacked by a giant energy drink, to *SPOILER* disarming a NUKE mid flight, saving the nation, and taking over the Presidency less than 5 minutes into the game.

If you are looking for a stupid amount of fun, appreciate toilet humor on a scale that makes it humorous, and otherwise embracing what this game is and how it, kinda sadly, reflects the current generational social media fueled gamign culture, you will find an incredible value here. Not just in monetary worth on your hard money spent, but in water cooler moments with your friends, but in the knowledge that no matter how bad your day is, you can hop into Steelport and wash it all away. Great Game, Great Fun, 3rd Street Represent!
