Ok so first things first, the overall review. It is a good game but is not worth the $60 dollars i paid. I would pay $20-$30 dollars for it. It is surely not compareable with cod4 or 5.

PROS

>Online is great. It is fun for sniping or just shotguns.

> There are so many vehichle you can use which is very fun. There are 1,2,3, and 4 person vehicles. There is Atv's, Buggies, hummers, Armadilos, different sorts of tanks and different sorts of helicopters and boats.

> Lots of different sorts of maps.

> Choice to be two different speciseach with it own perks and disadvantages. There is the Strogg and the humans. For the strogg there is also lots of different futuristic guns and vehicles.

> You can choose to be different classes like medics, mechanics, snipers, field soldiers and others.

> You can build stuff like anti personel turrets or build bridges across ditches for tanks to get by.

Cons

> AI turn straight away and start shooting you even if you are 700 feet away.

> You can't customize guns.

> Can't switch controls around so there is always set controls

This is a great shooter, and is vy easy to pick up and play. While the campaign is lacking, it makes its greatest showing in large online battles, with a vast amount of vehicles and maps its a very good game to own and enjoy with friends.

Best Deals for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - Xbox 360

I bought a used copy of "Enemy Territory: Quake Wars" for less than the cost of shipping and handling. I can't pretend that this didn't go far in excusing the weaknesses of the title, but let's pretend I was hyped out of my mind for its release and pre-ordered it because I just couldn't wait to pay full price for a low-bar FPS.

Disclaimer: I have not played any of the other Quake titles. However, I got the sense that this really didn't matter at all. Anyway, if you're into games that don't waste time with pesky things like "plot" and "character development," you'll be into this. The game begins with a very brief summary of The Strogg, a space-faring people hooked on a glowing, orange resource called Stroyent. They want it, Earth inexplicably has a ton of it, and only the most generic organization we can muster is capable of defending our all-important supply of the resource we didn't even know we had.

The EDF (Earth Defense Force) are the sort of international peacekeepers always allied against a larger threat like giant invisible chainsaw laser beasts from beyond Glaxar IX. They're used to wave after wave of bio-mechanical invaders, right? Sure, I guess.

The gameplay is class-based, which, for the uninitiated, means that getting killed is less of a bummer and more of a chance to switch up your tactics when you redeploy. Both sides have their versions of five character classes: Field Ops, Engineer, Soldier, Covert Ops, and Medic.

All five classes possess different weapons and abilities, making them useful in their own ways but without the ability to win an entire mission by themselves. This is the point of a class-based game; you attempt to be as effective as possible using the class you've chosen, earning more XP (experience points) whenever you participate as only your chosen class can. Example: If you're a Medic, you earn more XP for reviving/healing your buddies. The challenge of class-based games is always to find that twitchy balance between offense and defense, neutralizing newly-spawned enemies while not forgetting to focus on objectives like planting a key explosive or building a small bridge that will help your forces flank theirs.

The collection of vehicles in "Quake Wars" range from the foolhardy ATV and Strogg jump-craft to menacing air support on both sides. Coordinating them with your infantry and "lone wolf" types can be fun with friends online, but the A.I. bots in single player mode won't provide the level of support that you'd like. If anything, they tend to show up to complete your objective only after you've fought your way into the enemy compound alone, expended all of your ammunition, and died foolishly at the hands of the only remaining enemy that was too far away to slash at awkwardly with your melee weapon.

Then again, maybe the A.I. is exactly like playing with friends online.

The point is that this game works if you aren't expecting lovingly-rendered cutscenes (there are none) and unique characters on either side (there are none). Its strengths hover around the fact that it's about as straightforward as class-based first-person shooters come. I'd compare it to "Brink," and it is quite similar in some ways, but "Brink" is the better game of the two. If you just like shooting bad guys and you never really need a great excuse, then go for it. Especially if you can buy it for less than the cost of shipping and handling.

Honest reviews on Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - Xbox 360

I like most people was starting to get bored of COD4, I went to gamestop on a whim and picked this up. This game really shocked me in terms of fun. Its a Combination of Star wars battlefront, and Frontlines fuel of war. It has the frontlines aspect of frontlines, and the action, of battlefront, it contains many, many vehicles. The graphics are decent, nothing out of the ordinary, however if you cant wait for BF Bad company, then pick this up, it'll give you hours of fun

Very fun game with many possibilitys, each race human or strogg has there own classes which can do many different things ie hacking into your body and walking around as the other team mate to assasinate, or building turrents so you can sit back and repair vehicles and defend your base with that. theres also many vehicles that are avalible that are fun to use, jetpacks and mech robots are very fun. i'd say 5/5 gives you a good break from halo or somthing its not so competitive because even if your not a good shooter you can be a medic and heal your team or a constructor and build or repair things very fun imo!
