My son recommends him as a good additional character to add to the team, but not as a first draft pick. He suggests you buy Drobot first because of his laser eyes and their usefulness.

Pop Fizz, an alchemist in potions is powerful. Being a magic skylander, he can throw potions that have different affects. He can also drink his potion and go beserk. He is really fun to play with along with his beserker and potion paths. There is both lightcore and normal figure, he also comes in a triple pack. I hoped you liked my review. Leave any comments or questions skylanders giants. :-)Best Deals for Skylanders Giants Single Character Pack Core Series 2 Pop Fizz
Inititally I wasn't going to get Pop Fizz, but when I went on release day there was a very limited amount of Skylanders, and the only way to get series two Whirlwind and Trigger Happy was to get the triple pack with Pop Fizz. I'm actually glad that I gave him a shot. Not totally elated, however.Speed: Fast
The way he runs is a little awkward, but he does get along pretty quickly.
Primary Attack:
Pop Fizz's primary attack is tossing his currently equipped potion. This attack, even when upgraded, is kind of clumsy and not very effective. You start out with an exploding orange potion, then a purple potion that creates little beakers that attack your enemies, then a green one that creates a puddle of acid that damages enemies that step into it. I will admit, the green potion is good for Wandering Trogs, as they take damage very slowly. If you chose the Mad Scientist upgrade path, your potions have increased damage and improved effects, you can release up to three potions at once, and the potions may be mixed when thrown (ex: if you throw an orange potion onto a green potion, a flame will spring up.)
Secondary Attack:
Far better than the primary attack, the secondary attack allows you to go into berserker mode. Pop Fizz is an alchemist, which explains why he uses potions, but he also has the Jekyl and Hyde ability to drink his potions (sometimes called "soda", probably to deter children from mixing dangerous things together and drinking them) and turn into a big, powerful beast. I like melee attacks, and the beast uses his big clawed hands to swipe crazily at enemies. It starts off not lasting very long, but gets better when upgraded. If you choose the Best of the Beast upgrade path, the beast meter drains slower, attacking enemies increases the meter, and he can preform attacks depending on whatever potion you currently have equipped.
Tertiary Attack:
Unlike a lot of the new Skylanders, Pop Fizz does not have a third main attack.
Soul Gem:
This redeems the potion abilities. You can shake the potion bottle rapidly, and it will cause an explosion that deals a serious blow. The only downside to this is that Pop Fizz becomes momentarily stunned from the explosion, and is therefore vulnerable to enemies.
Overall:
If you really want a new magic Skylander, hold out for Ninjini. She seems like her attacks are going to be much more effective, and she's a Giant on top of that. I'm not saying Pop Fizz is a bad Skylander, he's just not very powerful unless in beast mode.
