I bought one of these and I used it to record Call Of Duty Games.

It has an input and an output so you don't need splitters.

When I put the output to my TV it was pretty bad quality but it recorded in pretty good quality

It was worth the money.

If you are looking for a device to record gameplay or VCR to DVD this is it it is cheap all though its not HD it was still worth every penny. If you have any trouble recording or the driver is old just go to their website sabrent.com/downloads to install the latest driver. I hope this really helps. Took me a while to install but all in all it looks great and with a little more editing done to it the quality looks even better.

The product itself works great, but it was a hassle to get the drivers set up. I'm running Windows 8, so to get it to work I had to go to "Change PC Settings>General>Advanced startup> Restart now>Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Windows Startup Settings>Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" After that it worked flawlessly,it's just not plug and play friendly.

Obviously the quality is standard definition only, but for the price you really can't complain. Just be warned, while this may be the simplest setup(you don't need anything besides what's in the box) the quality on the tv is very low and flickers from time to time. This does not affect the recording in any way but it may be an annoyance to some.

I've had this product for two days and I can say that it definitely doesn't work. I hooked up all the cables in the correct ports but the software continues to tell me to "Press play on your VCR or camcorder to begin" i'm using a HDTV and no I don't have a vcr. The only reason I got this was because the description said that I could record gameplay from it which it clearly doesn't do. And searching Google just gave me solutions i've already done. To further test this out from what the description said, it also stated that it could record from dvd players as well, so i tested it out, to see if it could work with a dvd player instead of a game console and once again when I hit record the software showed "Press play on your VCR or camcorder to begin" this product is a fail. I'll buy something else that I can record gameplay with, to anyone reading this take my advice and don't buy this product. It's not worth the headache, trust me.
