The game has gotten bad rep, mostly because they compare it to other games, while its not. The single player is fun as long as you do not sit there for hours straight and beat it. It gives a good point of view from each of the 3 playable classes. Fighting the aliens is similar to the movies, they sneak up on you just like in the movies, pop up out of vents and crawl on the walls/the ceiling very silently.

got the game this year and loved it. overall great little game for me. I don't have xbox live and i am not planning on getting it because gaming for me is just a passtime not my life. predator campaign was great and fun. human campaign was challenging but cool. alien campaign was great as well, capturing the alien characteristics perfectly. just wish graphics were a little better. the face hugger was greatly detailed as well. nice little comic book, too.

I just wish that this game had a bigger online fan base. You have to wait near ten minutes for a match of three people.

What made this special edition (the Hunter Edition) really nice was the extras it came with. I will review each piece separately that way you can get a decent review of everything it came with.

The game: Very dark & gritty and it really captured the Aliens universe very very well. It was very much like Doom 3 as far as the eery factor. It can be tense hearing your motion sensor go off and an alien getting closer & closer as it beeps quicker & quicker on your motion monitor and you see nothing until the alien strikes and all you have is a flashlight as your only way of seeing through your environment. The drawback is that the graphics are very dated, even by the standards at which time the game came out. That is both a positive & negative as the graphics kind of give the game a character of its own, but the thing is, you still expect games to be a bit more polished than it was. Definitely a solid game however overall. I'm going to go out on a limb and say on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best, I give it a solid 4.

4 Multiplayer maps: I always find DLC such as this to be a jip when it comes to special editions. The fact the maps are already done at the time of release tells me that they should have been included in the game to begin with instead of trying to make an extra buck off of them. That is my biggest issue. On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the greatest..I give it a 1.

3D Postcard: Yet another thing I hate to be put in special editions. Has nothing to do with the game at hand and it really just feels like junk added to make you feel like you are getting a lot of stuff. It is very nice looking, but again, it just feels "added". On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the greatest...I give it a 2. It would have been a 1 but it does look nice, but again, it just feels thrown in there.

Novel I really enjoyed this..I was skeptical about it at first, but it's a very well done story and honestly, I enjoyed it.On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the greatest..I give it a 4.

Weyland-Yutani Corporation Patch Generally I don't like these either in special editions. They are cheaply made and really have no use. They are also generally very loosely affiliated with the game itself. This doesn't disappoint in that assessment. On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the greatest..I give it a 2.

Steel case: Very beautifully done. It features an Alien on one side and a predator on the other. It is very hard to outdo this steel case design.

Facehugger Model Exceptionally done...It truly makes the rest of the shortcomings of this special edition disappear...kinda sorta. It is masterfully done and honestly without it, the special edition is a big flop as a special edition. There is however an issue with and a serious one. Very many of these break or broke in shipping. I was lucky and got one that did not. Apparently the tails are very sensitive and are prone to breaking, which is a shame because it is beautifully done as far as aesthetics. On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best, I give it a 4...It it wasn't for its fragility, I would have easily given it a solid 5.

Overall....It is both disappointing & satisfying. Definitely a must have if you are an Aliens fan however. I really feel the majority of the stuff added is there just so it seems as if they put a lot of stuff in it to make it a special edition and is either unneeded, or is something that should have been in the regular edition to begin with. It's most redeeming quality is the game itself, the steelbook & the facehugger. I only recommend this if you are a fan of the Aliens franchise. On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best, overall I score it a 4. The facehugger is fantastic as is the game. If purchasing from a seller, I would recommend that you ask them ahead of time if the facehugger is broke or if it is not (can tell simply by looking at it from the front of the package).

As a fan of the saga and when I saw this hunter edition, I thought this is for me :P, is a very nice harcase, the game is very funny, the comic is nice for understand the real origin and some questions about the saga,and the miniature of the facehugger is so nice.

Really nice edition so I recomend to buy it.
