This is the Giants Series 2 upgraded re-released version of the original Prism Break from the Skylanders Spyro's Adventures game (He's an Earth element character). He now can level up to 15, has a new WOW POW power, and you can switch upgrade paths! Prism break shoots laser beams out of his crystal hands at his enemies, drops giant crystals from the sky on them, creates a wall of crystals around him for protection, and shoots his laser beam off of crystals to take out more enemies around him at one time. Hes a very powerful skylander! It was hard to decide between this Series 2 edition or the Series 2 Lightcore edition of Prism Break for my nephew since they are the same but do have a couple of differences. This version does not light up like the series 2 Lightcore edition where you put him on the portal and his hand crystals light up green and look that way on the game as well, or have the "smart bomb" effect which causes an initial blast of energy that destroys enemies when placed on the Portal that can only be used once per level per Skylander lightcore. BUT since this non-lightcore edition is a series 2 re-released version, he has a WOW POW power that gives him an even stronger laser beam in the game which can be used more throughout the game than the "smart bomb" on the Lightcore edition and it also gives you the ability to switch upgrade paths in the game which you CANNOT do with the Lightcore version. He works on both the old version Skylanders Spyro's Adventures game & the new Skylanders Giants game which is great to be able to play him through the original game (the lightcore edition only works on the Giants game). (I ended up getting my nephew the lightcore edition since he's younger and would enjoy the light-up effect more than the WOW POW power)
Giants Series 2 Prism Break (non-lightcore):
PROS: has a WOW POW power that gives him a stronger laser beam; can switch upgrade paths in the game; can be used on the old Skylanders Spyro's Adventures game
CONS: does not light up; does not have the "smart bomb" effect
Giants Series 2 Lightcore Prism Break-
PROS: hand crystals light up on the portal and in the game which looks really cool; has a a "smart bomb" effect
CONS: does not have the new WOW POW power like the non-lightcore series 2, cannot switch upgrade paths in the game, can only be played on the new Skylanders Giants game, not Skylanders Spyro's Adventures

prism is a fun character to play with and easy to level up and upgrade! he is a little slow but with the right hat in the game I think there is a way to change that!

Came in as was described. Packaged well, and a fun and interesting character overall.
-Prism Break uses his crystals to shoot out beams of light or summon down a crystal that damages and blocks enemy movement and projectiles.
-Upgrades are mostly worthwhile
-Physical model is well made and detailed, except for some small and occasional blotched or scratched paint.
