This one awesome game. In my opinion, the best Robotech game there is. Being a huge Robotech fan, I expected a lot from this game and it delievered. It is so cool to be able to fight the Invid using the cyclone armor. Fans of Robotech will instantly recognize the story and several locations and characters. But even if you've never heard of Robotech, this is still a (...). Its a blast to charge into an area on your cyclone, firing rockets, switching to battle armor mode and then using your gallant rifle to finish off the stragglers. I have yet to try the online play via Xbox live, but if its anything like the single player, it is excellent. If you're a robotech fan, an action adventure/shooter game fan, or someone who likes try something different, this game is definately worth your time.

Another take on Robotech, based on The New Generation. Although not as cool as Battlecry, this game does try to compete with Halo, and fails. It's still a good game (a good game with motorcycles).

I bought this for my fiance and he loves it, but he has an xbox 360 and when I bought it I didn't realized that it wouldnt play on his console since some of the other xbox games do. but regardless its a good game none the less

Overall, this game is great. Good story (Which fans of the Robotech Series will instantly relate to), intuitive controls, and varied gameplay and missions (Sniping, Close Quarters, or just standard run and gun all work [and I've used them all]).

You have the ability to transform between a motorcycle mode (Very fast, great for covering long distances, or targeting enemies with missiles), and an Armored-Infantry mode (Which allows for either first-person or third-person [both perspectives work excellently]) in outdoor environments. Once indoors, however, the game locks you into Infantry Mode. However, these indoors sections are infrequent and short, allowing most of the game to be played in the freedom of outdoor-environments. I often find myself hot-swapping between the two modes in order to target an enemy with missiles before closing in rapidly to finish them off with a quick melee.

Believe it or not, there are actually multiple endings to this game. I won't say anything else about that, though, so as to avoid spoilers.

Unfortunately, Micro$oft did NOT release a patch for this game to be backwards compatible with the XBox 360, so you will have to play it on the original XBox. Again, this game WILL NOT WORK WITH THE XBOX 360. However, if you managed to hang on to a working original XBox, and you're a fan of Robotech, then this game is a must-have.

Unfortunately (again), Micro$oft has shut down XBox-Live Servers/Support for all Original XBox games (and raised the price for XBox LIVE. Go figure), so you can't play the multiplayer unless you and a bunch of buddies who also have the game and system-link (LAN) to play, seeing as how this game lacks a split-screen option.

Would I recommend this game to someone who has never heard of Robotech? Maybe. There are no other games on the market that offer this kind of gameplay, so if you're looking to broaden your horizons, or simply want a change of pace with the seemingly cookie-cutter games dominating the current market, then this game would fit your criteria. It's a wonderful stand-alone title, and any Robotech fans who haven't already bought this game by now, need to snatch up a copy before they all disappear.

This game is awsome nice sequal to Battle cry. The battle with the Invid is similar to battle with the Zentradi.

If your a fan of Robotech you will like this game just to add to your game collection.
