Pros:

Work seamlessly with the Roland TD9-SX. I was able to customize the Midi assignments (via the Roland) to use multiple cymbals. Much better trigger response that the ION drum rocker!

I Highly recommend it!

Cons (all minor):

No "chat" headset connection. no wireless connection, doesn't come with a Midi cable and the instruction were fairly vague.

As many have noted, it took forever for this to be released; but now it's here. Have used it with a Yamaha electric piano, and it just works. There are almost no instructions, but all you do is plug the USB cable into your XBox (or USB hub, of course), and plug a MIDI cable from your instrument to the adapter.

This has actually gotten me to start learning keyboards after many years of procrastination.

Note that the adapter does not include a MIDI cable -so be sure you have one.

This works exactly like it's supposed to and is easy to connect. The bad news is that it is hard to find. If you have a midi compatible keyboard or guitar and really enjoy rockband then get it if you can find it.

I bought this specifically to use it with an Alesis DM6 drum set, so I can't speak for its performance with other MIDI instruments, but for the most part this works great. There is no noticeable latency and it works as advertised. The only problem I've had is that it sometimes messes up detecting a yellow + green cymbal hit. It either drops one cymbal or the other, or incorrectly adds a tom hit. This seems to be a known issue. It also sometimes drops a tom when hitting two at once. Besides those issues, it works fine.

I didnt even think something like this was even possible until i saw a video about it. When i bought my drums i always enjoyed playing it. Then when i learned that i could play them on rock band with this i knew i had to get it. I have the Alesis DM6 Electronic kit and i was glad to see that they were compatible. When i bought this thing it took me a while to set it up cuz i didnt know i had to run it through my computer using the program MIDI-OX. But once i got all that setup it worked flawlessly. No lag. No hassle. No problems. Idk why ur still reading this review and not clicking the add to cart button.
