While you can certainly play Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode at level 50, I would recommend getting this and go to 61!!Best Deals for Borderlands 2 Ultimate Vault Hunters Upgrade Pack
This DLC is essential to the later parts of the game. The third playthrough is boring without this Downloadable Content.Honest reviews on Borderlands 2 Ultimate Vault Hunters Upgrade Pack
This package is great for what it is. And in terms of DLC I could see paying more than 5 bucks for a full gameplay mode being added to the existing game. Here's what know what you're talking about comes into play. First off, the Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode is what is really being sold here. It's a gameplay mode that is unlocked once your character has completed True Vault Hunter mode and reached level 50. You enter into this mode to see everything has changed in terms of the enemies and some of the gameplay mechanics. Such as Slag, if you've played it i'm sure you know what I'm talking, has been tweaked as well as weapon swap speed. Enemies are way tougher and offer the brand new loot tier ABOVE legendary. SO! More enemies, More loots, and more borderlands goodness. Which INCLUDES your level cap increase. If you already have the season pass then you already have this as well. I have it and thought I would post a review voicing more than a synical view on paying for something I want for free. But you get way more than a simple level cap out of it. So get off your butt, buy this right here, and get ever more of the most awesome game out there. That's right COD people, I said it. :D Vault on Vault Hunters! \m/Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Borderlands 2 Ultimate Vault Hunters Upgrade Pack
Before I get on a big huge rant about this so-called "add-on" or whatever Gearbox wants you to believe it is, let me say this: I'm a Borderlands 1 & 2 hardcore fan, got all the expansions so far and played each game through several times solo and co-op.This being said... this... thing... is a huge scam. Seriously? 5 bucks for a patch that raises the level cap? In the words of Lilith: "You have got to be kidding me". You can max out your tree using a fairly simple trainer. There's no need for this.
Save your money and wait either for Krieg or the next expansion, but PLEASE, pretty, pretty please: DO NOT ENCOURAGE PUBLISHERS TO CHARGE YOU FOR SOMETHING THAT IS BASICALLY A GAME PATCH.
If you do, you'll open a can of worms for other publishers who'll just think that it's OK to charge for just about anything little piece of code they add to their game.
