This is my opinion on the Wii-U version of Deus Ex. This is not actually a review due to the base game being out for a few years now. Most people will argue the fact that the price of the Wii-U version is higher than the other consoles. While I don't really agree with it myself, I can clearly see why the game is sold at the price that it is. I own all versions of Deus Ex... 360, PS3, and PC and I can honestly say that even if this were the regular game and not the director's cut, the Wii U version would be the version to to play. Why? The answer is simple...the gamepad. The way the gamepad is utilized and intigrated with the game makes playing the game a whole new experience. Inventory management, augments, emails to get back stories, hacking, radar, map, and various other functions on the gamepad give the Wii-U version the edge. There is also another cool feature that plays out a lot like Demon Souls and Dark Souls where you can leave data icons in the world with messages (written or voice) that offer clues and hints so someone else won't make the same mistake you did or to point out alternate routes....this is used with Mii-verse. I have not personally tried this feature out yet, but it is cool to know that it is there. Like Mass Effect 2 for the PS3, this game has the DLC "The Missing Link" intrigrated in the main story, which is good. If you have neveer played the DLC, now is a good time to do so. Another thing that sells this game is that the boss fights are fixed to support different playstyles now....which is a VERY good thing! Is this game worth a purchase? Yes and No....the only reason I think people should by this game; especially if they already own/played and finshed the regular version is A: You are a HUGE fan of Deus Ex like I am. B: You own a Wii-U and want to build a good library of games for it..like me. C: You were one of those individuals that were upset with how the boss fights were in the regular version. I will say it again, the gamepad and the way it is used is great! However, it should not be the ONLY reason to buy the game for this price.

This game is great on the Wii U. Graphics are sharper from previous game, the bosses fight are really well done now and the use of the gamepad is incredible. This is a wonderful 3rd party game for the Wii U and a most for it. I like the detail improvement also. If you like Metal Gear 4 and Mass Effect, it has a combination of both. I love the dark and gold color atmosphere that the game uses. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it cost $20 more than the other consoles but then again they don't have the gamepad exclusive which is really cool!!!!

When the game came out I didn't have a good PC to buy the game since I didn't have a PS3 back then. Time passed and it went under my radar until the Wii U version was announced. I got hyped for the game ever since the reveal and I don't regret my purchase. I got this game after I beat Splinter Cell Blacklist on Wii U and I love this game as well since what I learned in the previous game can be applied here and works most of the time. The graphics are amazing, the story is pretty cool and reminds me of the first Deus Ex game (love it by the way), and the gameplay is smooth and spot on.

If you haven't played Deus Ex I suggest you get the Wii U version which is the best version of them all. but if you played it already you may want to get on another platform

Honest reviews on Deus Ex Human Revolution: Director's Cut - Nintendo Wii U

You can easily find many, many articles across the internet to describe what a good game Deus Ex Human Revolution is. As someone who never played the original, I was very excited to see this title coming to Wii U. I was doubly impressed to see the efforts being made by Square Enix and developer Straight Right to make good use of the Wii U's gamepad. Speaking directly to people who have never played Deus Ex, this title or any of the previous ones, I can highly recommend the game based on its game play and story alone.

However, what truly sets this title apart is the attention paid to the Wii U version. A lot of attention has been paid to make the gamepad a seamless part of the game. It's not perfect, but it is definitely one of the better uses of the gamepad. Inventory, game map, in game information, hacking, and other things like in-game instruction manual, full strategy guide, and the miiverse integration are all on the gamepad.

Inventory management is a breeze using the touch screen, but the game map is one of the best things period. You can leave yourself notes all over the map, never worry about forgetting gear or having to get lost while searching the city, just annotate the map at your leisure. On top of that, you can record hints and post them to the miiverse for your friends. This is one of the best integrations of the mic, and I hope to see more games use it going forward. Hacking is much more interactive with the gamepad, and I guess that is the point of all of this, yeah it can be done with a regular controller and you can pull it up on the tv, but there is something more interactive and immersive using the touch screen. It just works better. Lastly, and probably the one thing that made me spend a little more on this one, was the full strategy guide in game. I do not have a lot of gaming time, and it isn't always feasible to have a computer open while playing. So being able to pause, bring up the guide on the gamepad and see what I need to do is extremely helpful. I would like to see more integration here as well going forward, like being able to drag a hint from the guide on to the map.

Now this isn't all perfect, the touch controls take some getting used to, but overall they work great.

As a new comer to this series I have really enjoyed this game. It is a well done masterpiece that tells a solid story and actually lets you play how you see fit. It is worth every penny alone for the gamepad integration and the strategy guide(which is Wii U exclusive). If you are on the fence, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a really well made director's cut of a great game.

I enjoyed the game when it first came out for xbox 360 and now with the additional feature I enjoy the game more. The Wii U controller takes a little bit to get used to, but the game is still great!
