And the sound is fantastic. You can hear (and sense) everything. I've got Logitech G930's (which are great), Creative headsets, and Sennheisers (good stuff), but these are my favorites. They edge everything.
So when I say I'm going on my fifth set, it's not because they're weak, it's simply because I have faith in these things. I know eventually I'll break 'em, but they'll last a while before I do. And man do they sound good.
Highest recommendation.

Everything that this headset offers is true. 5.1 sound, swappable ear cups, etc.But if your head is an average size or larger, this headset is not for you. It's like they built these only for small people. Even when i extended the headrail to it's max it was still too small, and my head isn't large..
The other problem i have is the controller. It's nice with the LED's and stuff but it get really HOT over time and i believe this is what lead to my mic control dying. The detachable mic itself is fine it's the controls for the mic that stopped working.
Honestly put your money elsewhere unless you've got a small head and a standing mic stashed somewhere.

Hey before you buy these do you research! i wanted to buy a headset for my PS3 and when i bought these I unknowingly bought a PC only headset. This is a PC only headset! Im sure they're a great product but they will not work on any console. If you want a console headset go find the AX PRO, not AX51 PRO.Honest reviews on Tritton Ax51 Pro Gaming Headset
These sound fantastic. I'd been using plain stereo Sony "studio monitor" headphones before, and this brought out small sounds in the games I play I'd never noticed before, and the surround sound effects are fantastic. Unlike another reviewer above, they fit me well, and I have a very large head. The swappable pads helped.Unfortunately, they are very cheaply made. If you're used to headphones with fairly robust construction, such that you don't have to be too careful when opening them up to put them on, you'll find yourself pulling them apart quite by accident. It's small comfort that it's not too difficult to reassemble them; you plain shouldn't have to. The long cable tends to get twisted and tangled. And now, after a couple of months of use, I find the left side starting to fade out intermittently.
As great as this sounded when new, it's a shame it's not better engineered.
