Drobot looks like a robotic dragon, but what really makes him cool is his fully automatic head lasers. Unlike Trigger Happy where you have to mash buttons to fire, you just hold down fire and Drobot shoots anything in front of him. His special attack is two saw blades that ricochet. I really like him. He just destroys things from a safe distance.

Stealth Elf is considered the best Skylander because of her healing ability, mobility and crazy multi-hit moves. And yet, Drobot is often ranked at the top with Ms. Elf because he's just as absurd when it comes to damage output. If you thought it was funny that Trigger Happy could do so much damage, you'll be floored by what Drobot can do. Where you have to keep pressing the button for Trigger Happy to shoot...with Drobot, you just hold it down and he'll keep going. I should have recorded my daughter using Drobot as soon as we got him, because she summed it up perfectly. She kept using his laser attack, just holding the 'X' button down while walking through a level, and eliminated every enemy before they even came close. I asked her "why don't you use his other move?". Her response? "Because this is so easy!"...that's all there is to it!Drobot's got easy to use moves and makes any challenging level a breeze. The main reason being because of his laser attack. It constantly does damage thanks to its speed. As if the laser isn't good enough on its own, when you upgrade it on the respective path, it gets extra attributes, like explosions and more damage. The second attack Drobot has is where he shoots out spinning metal blades. These are pretty cool since they bounce around the environment for a long time. They're more useful in smaller areas since they won't take as long to travel. Even with the lasers being the best move to upgrade, these discs are good too, with the only downside being that they don't shoot straight forward, but instead launch in V pattern: one goes diagonally left and the other goes diagonally right. Like most of the dragons, Drobot also has a flight move. His is a little cooler though since it makes use of his mechanical parts! The flight can even be slightly upgradedafter you buy the upgrade, holding the flight button will make Drobot hover in place. You'll be able to strafe while shooting like this. As for his Soul Gem ability, it causes Drobot's afterburners to damage enemies...in the off-chance that they've gotten close enough to you to be in the way.
The only bad things to say about Drobot are that his defense is a little low, and that for some people, he might be so strong that playing the game won't be challenging if he's your main Skylander. The defense thing isn't an issue since you'll be blasting everything to dust before they get close. If your kids play Battle Mode, whoever picks Drobot is going to be at an automatic advantage. It's not going to be pretty when the Drobot user goes up against a melee character like Chop Chop.
