With people criticizing any new Dragon Ball game because "it's the same story all over", what did you expect, a new made up story that isn't Dragon Ball? I look at this game as being great, Galaxy mode does offer something different than your basic story mode. The dialog during fights is pleasant as well.

But the top reason to buy this game has nothing to do with playing the game itself. On every disc, you're able to watch The Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans OVA that had not been released in America prior to this. I still suggest you attempt to find the original, as the one on this game is reanimated. But for any true Dragon Ball fan, this is a must have!

Dragonball Raging Blast 2

This game is a sequel to Raging blast. It has over 100 characters if you count transformations. It also has Vegeta and Broly in SSJ3 forms even though they never reached SSJ3 in the anime or movies. It also has some characters that were never in previous Dragonball games such as Tarble(Vegeta's younger brother) and Hatchiyack(main villain in the movie Dragonball: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans).

The games controls are easy to learn and super moves are easy to customize and use. You can change which super moves you want your characters to have. You can also perform team super attacks if you have certain characters on your team such as Androids 17 and 18.

However, the game does not have a story mode but to make up for this there is a mode called galaxy mode. Galaxy mode is the mode where you unlock most characters. However, there is no story and you play through a set of missions with each character. Some missions are just fights while others are more challenging. One mission makes you fight Androids 16,17, and 18 with the minimum amount of health. One punch or ki blast will kill you resulting in great frustration.

There is also a mode called Battle Zones. There are zones where you have to fight characters from the Dragonball Universe and the later zones become harder. After you complete the battle zones, you unlock the ultimate zones providing even more of a challenge.

The game also includes the movie Dragonball: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans. It is in Japanese but has English subtitles. After you watch it, you unlock Hatchiyack in the game because the Z Fighters fight Hatchiyack in the short film.

The game is great for Dragonball Z fans who want a big roster and don't mind a missing story mode. However, if you want a great story mode, this game is not for you

Honest reviews on Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 - Xbox 360

This game has pretty much everything a dragon ball fan could want. A variety of awesome attacks and plethora of characters. The reason I rated this game a 4 overall is because I like to have a story mode in a dragon ball z game. This one has a galaxy mode where you can fight characters that may have been fought in the original anime series. However, overall I would recommend this game for any fan.
