My son (4 1/2) has discovered the joys of video games, with that in mind I like to purchase games that I can enjoy with him. This is a very good game for co-op play. One of you is Flint and the other is the monkey (I cannot remember his name), you play in a "Little Big Planet" style where the camera focuses on player 1 and if player 2 gets too far away, they pop in to where player 1 is. Also, if one of you happens to die, all is not lost, you re-spawn with the other player and you have full health, this is great for young gamers because it takes some doing for you to have to re-start a level. You basically have to die at the same time or very close in time, otherwise one of you is always up and going. The game was straight forward, it was easy to know what to do and it was fun to see the giant food, just like the movie. Highly recommended if you're looking for a co-op game to play with your child.

I played this to completion in co-op with my two boys (ages 7 and 9) and we had a great time. The co-op is done very well, with drop-in, drop-out gameplay like the Lego titles, but without the annoying camera issues of the pre-Indy 2 Lego games. It handles the two players on the same screen by keeping focus on player one and re-positioning player 2 to player 1's location if they're off screen too long. Also, the game is a little easier in co-op since you both have to die at approximately the same time for it to reset you to a checkpoint.

It was very short (4-5 hours), but very fun all the way through and we even managed to get all 1000 gamerscore during our play session. If you liked the movie, you should like the game too. If you can get this one cheap and enjoy Lego style, two player co-op, pick this up.

I rented this game for my four year old son, who is quite adept at gaming. It took less than ten hours playing time to beat the story, although we could have taken our time and added another hour or two by defeating every piece of food and unlocking some extras. But since I wasn't about to pay for the game, I wanted him to beat it before sending it back.

The game is fairly straight-forward, kill the food, save the town. Most levels were easy enough for my son to navigate and defeat without help, but occasionally I did need to join in to help him out. My advice is to activate the second player (I call it a dog, my son informed me that it is Steve) even if no one is playing it, just in case the main character dies. If at least one player is alive, the second one will automatically come back to life. Otherwise, if you die, you start back at the checkpoint.

If this game was more reasonably priced, I would give it a higher rating. But at , I expect a lot more out of a game. The Lego franchise, for example, is priced lower and provides significantly more playing time.

Honest reviews on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - Xbox 360

Even for those of us who are beyond the childhood years this game is still a bit of fun. I found myself laughing it up and enjoying the childish animations and on top of all of that, this game is a very easy 1,000 gamerscore.

One of those titles that you can't go wrong with.

I watched my little brother play this game, he managed to finish it in under 9 hrs with all achievements and levels completely 100% beat. The games concept isn't bad but there are some challenges in there for a kid aged 6-12 wouldnt find easy to succeed with some practice. The game was reaaalllly short and the game could use a little more effort. I would find Super Mario Galaxy or Super Mario Galaxy 2 a better choice over this game.
